About Us

Chef Marcellino Verzino was born on his family's farm in the Campania region of Italy and was raised in the “farm to table” life before it even had the name. His roots are steeped in all facets of Italian food and wine with a profound understanding of their origins. In 2003, he and his wife Sima opened their Ristorante. With historic Italian recipes, Marcellino weaves his own combinations of the finest and freshest ingredients to create signature flavors while maintaining the integrity of true Italian cuisine. Chef Marcellino. Chef has been awarded the Best Chef, and multiple times: Best Italian, Most Romantic, Best Hand Crafted Pasta. He has twice prepared dinner at the James Beard House in NYC.

In November 2015, Sima reignited her musical passion bringing together outstanding musicians of notoriety. In August 2019 she was invited back to Rome and performed at the historic Teatro Marcellus and March 2020 she performed at The Nash Jazz Club in Phoenix, AZ. Sim and Her All-Star Trio perform regularly at Marcellino Ristorante.
